For my birthday, my cousin decided to surprise me with a girls trip to Magnetic Island in the state of sunny Queensland. Temperatures have been dropping down to the single digits so a quick getaway for a tan and a relaxing vacation was definitely on my wish list! Magnetic Island is a small coastal area just 20 mins from Townsville by ferry. It’s a small and cozy island where everything closes at 9pm (so don’t expect nightlife), but there are plenty of activities to do and lots of sun for you to laze around and enjoy your days.

We stayed at Peppers Blue on Blue Resort, which was right in front of Nelly Bay. Our room faced the marina, so we got to see all the boats docking in and take in that beautiful view from our balcony. During our stay, we also decided to treat ourselves to a ‘Girls Day Out’ package at Endota Spa downstairs. We got a foot bath, a full body massage and a nourishing facial! The staff there are so friendly, and even recommend a few tips and tricks so you can take better care of your skin. This trip was a lovely few days to switch off from real life and take a well deserved break. I couldn’t recommend it more to those looking for a quiet yet tranquil holiday destination, you won’t be disappointed! x
