It’s been a while since I blogged, but only because of uni and all my assignments being due at the same time! It’s hard when you start juggling blogging as well as being a full time student and sometimes studies have to take the priority in the long run. But luckily I handed in my last assignment a couple of days ago and now I’m on holidays until August – which means more content and more blog posts coming up!
Sydney has been raining cats and dogs this past week, but on Saturday the sun was shining and there was no sight of rain so we decided to make the most of it and head down to Hotel Ravesis in Bondi. Hotel Ravesis operates as a bar downstairs and a cafe/bar upstairs, with a stunning front and side terrace that overlooks Bondi beach. I get too excited when I see blush pink decor and Hotel Ravesis did not disappoint in their choice of interior styling. Pastel artworks placed around the cafe is reminiscent of a retro vibe and the choice of neutral colours is just too cute! Also a major plus for playing both top charts and old school music for those that like to get their groove on (like me). It honestly felt like a little Europe in the heart of Bondi.

When you dine anywhere in Bondi, you should expect to see some seafood on the menu somewhere. I am a big fan of seafood and lucky lucky, Ravesis did not disappoint. We called half a dozen oysters to share, along with a Tuna Ahi burger and a salami pizza. The oysters were fresh along with an eschallot sauce that was the perfect accompaniment. I personally like my pizza crust on the thinner side and loads of topping and Ravesis scored an A+ on both criteria. But by far my favourite was the Tuna Ahi burger – mainly because I have never had one before but also because the tuna was seared and not cooked through, so it was almost like having a sushi burger! The sauce was also to die for and the other toppings on the burger were sourced from quality grown produce.
