It’s hard to believe that we’re already days into 2017. As I look back at the last 365 days and everything thats happened, I can’t help but to feel as though 2016 really has been my year for a number of reasons.
Last year, I started blogging – and this without a doubt changed my life. It has led to so many opportunities which I’m eternally grateful for! I got to work with brands I love, make friends from all across the world, discover my passions and most of all, inspire people creatively. It’s surreal to wake up everyday and feel extremely blessed at the hard work that has been paid off.
At the start of 2016, my parents got me a puppy named Mia who has been my entire life ever since she entered. It’s given me so much responsibility and I felt as if I’ve matured a lot now that someone else depends on me. I didn’t know how I was going to cope at the start with studies and blogging but I quickly found a balance and she’s like my whole world ever since.
In 2016, I also landed a marketing job that pushes me further in the career ladder. As a very ambitious person, I knew what I wanted to do as soon as I finished school and I wanted to get ahead by building up my professional experience and developing relationships with different companies. Working various corporate jobs at such a young age, I was able to see what my strengths and weaknesses were so that I could further improve myself for when I begin full time work.
And to top off everything that happened in the past year, I was able to share some of it with an amazing person who has been by my side through the very good and very bad. I’m incredibly grateful for all the adventures we’ve had together but also the support and encouragement that I was given with Elidaze itself. Not only has he challenged me to become a better person but inspires me everyday to work harder so I can grow myself emotionally and spiritually.
I’m so excited to see what 2017 has installed for me. With the launch of my blog and Youtube page (videos will be coming soon hopefully!), I really want to put 110% into creating amazing content that everyone will love and that means spending more time editing, shooting and writing. Of course, I still have many things going on in my life but I look forward to how I’ll be able to manage my time. 2017 was always going to be a big one for me. This year is my last year of university which means I’ll have to be applying for a full time job soon. I also plan to travel a lot more every chance that I get. I’ve already booked a trip to New Zealand in February and plan to be going Hong Kong in April, South East Asia in June-July and Europe at the end of the year.
Looking into the future, I’m not sure where I’ll be and truthfully I’m quite scared about the problems that could arise – but really, that’s just the beauty of life itself, right?
